I might as well lay it all out:

1- Zebra2 <3 <3 <3

2 - Simpler!

3 - Wusikstation

4 - Microtonic

5 - Operator

6 - Slayer

So I guess the answer is Zebra2!

:D

Yeah it's tough to come up with just one!

MX4 is my favorite to create sounds with.

Automat is the best free synth ever.

Operator is just brilliant and refreshing.

I know I already responded but again

Claw is where it's at right now

I just sold my license for Operator because it never gave me what I wanted - bummer because it's a cool synth

when I had a MAC I had Automat but then again it didn't explode out of the speakers like i wanted but it's an awesome synth for sure

I feel bad because everyones like Operator Operator and I'm like "nah"

But I couldn't live without Simpler for my drums, Claw for leads, and Subtractor for bass - ah shit I'm content

but I still want a outboard Nord or Virus TI

Peace

Adonis

Operator is a nasty nasty little angry thing when you use it right, the presets just tend to suck sooooo bad

it weird now that I don't "actually" own it I appreciate it more - not that I use but I totally see how cool it is

I know about this () much about synthesis

Operator A is a .05 Saw tooth and I turn Operator B up a wee bit to give it some grit then put a Low pass filter over it - that's about as far as my synthesis got with Operator <---- the wave forms just didn't fit what I was doing, plus I'm still hella jaded about the $50 extra dollars I had to pay for the thing when I was conversating with the guy who made it and works for Ableton - A simple "hey you might want to wait a week to get this" would have been cool. So I did what I had to do to get my $50 dollars back :) <--- I sold it and the guys who bought seems pretty excited so we're all happy

I love Saw tooth wave forms and Square wave forms - sine waves are really nice but the tri thing is kinda cool <--- all nice

I can't beleive no one has mentioned the Korg Legacy Collection

I dont' even have it yet but the demo only has that small bit of white noise and I've been recording some demo tracks with it and sometimes you can't even hear that noise its crazy. I will be buying the Collection in about 2 weeks with the MS20 controller.

One day I will own the original but untill then this softsynth along w/ Poly and Legacy Cell sounds very real.

Also Minimonster

Yeah, I could live without all my softy synths (don't have that many).

Most of my sound sources come from either my hardware synths or impulse/simpler, battery.

ABL Pro is way nice though.

True that. Especially at the price it's a nice deal. The MS20, Polysix and Cell rock. Although I used to love the Wavestation when I owned the hardware, I'm finding it a little difficult to get back in to.

Other soft synths that I really dig and use quite often:

Octopus
FabFilter Twin
Tassman
String Studio
Lounge Lizard

I can't believe that FabFilter Twin hasn't been mentioned yet?

Well here goes :

1. Albino
2. FabFilter Twin
3. B4 II (I know this strictly doesn't go as a synth, but I just love it so much)

I usually always use some combination of these... I used to go with the combinator and reason rewired... but I'd get too annoyed with having to switch between the two pieces of software... I wish the combinator would be released as a VSTi.

This has to be to be the harshes digital sounding softsynth I've ever heard. I mean I like it and use it sometimes but to compare with others its gotta a brittle sound. Honestly I've never played or heard the ORG Oddsey upclose so Im really curious to what it sounds like hands on.
