I bet if I sold ALL of my computer software, I could easily afford an MPC2500...

Srsly; you guys have too much time on your hands for bitching. It's all about finding work-arounds! Heh.

Question:
Is it free of charge to downgrade?

At this point the only version of Live I have is Lite 5. If I buy Live 8, would it be possible to use Live 7 for free until the bugs are worked out?

I highly doubt it... infact, probably not at all.

Okay, well is the demo any indication of the paid version? I've been running Live 8 demo for the past few hours without a problem...

yea, from my understanding you can only downgrade to the versions you actually bought so what you shuld of done was buy 7 download before 8 came out on april 2nd or gotten 7 from the store at a clearance price, that way you get 7 and 8 for the price of 7 reduced.

Having worked in software development I don't get the gripe about bugs in 8??
It's impossible to release something without any bugs unless you release something which is no great step up from the previous version.... Should Ableton be slated for their ambition, I think not? If there is anything that could be criticised it would have to be the turnaround on fixes being implemented for these bugs but I don't see any complaints about that so whats the issue here. Are we maybe expecting a little too much??
Live 7, Sony Vaio, limited talent, limited budget, limitless enthusiasm. :D
