That's a great way to make a decision.

It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

yeah 4-7 i bought right away and ended up being pissed off for 3 months,7.14 is really stable for me right now,so i will just be happy with that until many of the bugs are gone.

I went with another deciding factor. My accountant says no.

And much like an unsolved crime, the further away from the date the crime was committed less and less resources and excitement will be poured into it. I'll get it when I get it.

I'm digging 8. I've gigged with the Beta for months and this version seems great...

that's the only live 0.1 release that seemed to work for my application just fine....i remember beta testing live 6 and just being happy with it. as soon as it hit the shelves, i went and got the edu discount and made beats like a madman.

from what I can tell, none of the whiny little bitches that are stinking up the place were active beta testers.

my advice... get it right next year, too late now. wait a few weeks, it'll be straight. like I've posted before Live 7.01 was unusable for me.

Weird, I've never had any problems with any of the releases since 3 and rarely even any bugs on the betas. Is it a PC thing? A thing to do with running lots of third party vsts? The sound interface you use?

no, it's people not beta testing. that's why Ableton beta tests, so they can see how the code runs on all the goofy combinations of computers, sound cards, plug ins and external devices.

Not until I bought in last night, no. Since then I'm not so sure... :)

I'm not worried or whinging, but it is hard to keep from wondering.
I'm 80% sure that any problems that are my fault, I'll fix. And 100% sure the Abes will cover the ones that aren't.
