And no, I was never that fucking stupid. I actually tryed things on my own, or used search functions on forums and read things. I didnt expect someone to hand it too me.

There is an insane amount of these kids selling their turntables and buying live because they saw BT or Sasha using it, and they expect you to hand them a cookie-cutter way of DJing. They dont realize that if they couldnt cut it on the turntables, they will never cut it with live.

all we need is a sticky FAQ of some sort. No new section. Just something to have readily available... Maybe someone could make a compilation page that aggregates all the NOOB questinos and it could just be linked to everytime someone pops up and asks yet another question regarding DJing or how Live works at a basic level.

Personally, I HATE the idea of splitting the forum. It somehow means that the idea of DJing and producing are two different beasts in Live. I disagree. I think its all blurred now. I like the chocolate in my peanut butter you know?

This is the genius of Live.

Well i had a feeling that there would be alot of different takes on this one. I personaly feel that as live becomes more popular because of folks like shasa mixing with ableton there will be a ever increasing amount of posts that say "how do i dj with live". Although I feel a FAQ may help the situation I think a hole new section could be a good idea. I am not dissing dj's here ok. I am a DJ and have been for many years and have my 1200's and my crates of records sitting in my living room with me. I do think that the lines between between dj'ing and live pa are getting more and more blury all the time but there is still a diffference. What i am thinking would be more along the lines of a "studio" section and a "Live Proformance" sections as opposed to DJ and producer sections if that makes any sence to anyone.

There are my thoughts for the moment.
