just checking back in - no longjohns, space plays from last start *or* last selection - so it you play from bar4, select a clip to work on that starts on bar 5, space bar will start from bar 5

and I know about Crtl4 - wha I want is an *easier* hot key to press *while *dragging, not another whole mulitple-key press operation to turn off the grid entirely

live for producing and soundforge for sample editing and mastering for me...
i have long hesitated to buy cubase because i have (maybe psychological) issues with the final sound of tracks produced with live...

but at the end i remain with live only

I've worked with Cubase since the Atari days, but found timestretching inconvenient. When Live 4 came with midi I switched. The midi wasn't like Cubase, but Live fastened my workflow. I really produced 3x more songs in a year.

At this moment I compose in Live and play live with Cubase. Live isn't stable enough for me and uses twice as much CPU. Mixing in Cubase is easier with groups and folders. I can also use DX effex. (Still using VST 5.1)

I second the lack of cut ability in the arrange page. I can only split a part in the arrange page if there is only one track!!! Odd.
