Hey, you're talking about the "flawed velocity engine".
You're obviously the ignorant one..

Investigating Ableton: I'm about to get Live so I'm not totally familiar with all it's details----I have two questions that someone could help me with 1. From this Post it sounds like the Impulse cannot use velocity info from a controller---is this true?
2. If Torv is around to explain----you said that you imported your Live material into Logic to get more "feel/expressiveness"---could you explain how Logic enables this versus Ableton, and do you think you get better sound out of Logic(maybe this part is a whole new post/warzone)-----------------Thx

if you are confused and wondering if Lives feel is inferior to FL Studio or Logic.... it is not. Working with Lives MIDI velocity feel is perfectly fine provided you set up your equipment properly.

but hey that was entertainment. mercyplease pumping all this "i am so superior" energy into the thread and totally angry manfucking a hole in the wall!! oh man... thats just great.

It's very simple. Just adjust the velocities yourself. Yes, Live has no "random velocity" feature". Get over it and make your own goddamn velocities.

"Injecting Groove" is not very difficult at all. It's just a matter of creatively adjusting velocities and swing - Something that is VERY simple to do using Live. Hell, I did it five fucking minutes ago. I nearly always do it with my hihats if they are 16th notes because it sounds nice in a house track.

Easy peasy. Live is a barebones tool. People like you want to rely on your equipment for creativity when you should rely on yourself.
Live does not allow you to make subtle velocity changes that sound good, its an on or off detail and they get completely lost in teh mix.
People like me have been funking it for years long before Ableton came on the go. This is the fucking problem with fanboys like you that have only ever experienced Live. Get out and about and hear the worlld about you.

Oh does it sound nice I would never have guessed. Maybe just maybe thats why i posted the thread
I cant beleive how easy you have managed to wind everybody up with your thread.

Hats of to you.

A seqencer should be inert (have no soul).. or to be more accurate be like a mirror and reflect the soul of the person using it.

If you want some random variation on velocity (which can be nice) just add Lives random midi velocity plug...

No you're not. Or at least I hope you're not that self-deluded.
Added with lives complete lack of groove function it makes this software a robots dream. I do get feel from it but it takes a lot of work and even then just never sounds quite right.
Oh hai --Im an abelton programmers in ur software killing ur gruuuuuv
dynamics are so important in music period
Not only in "music period" is this so, but in regular music as well!
I rest my case

Next troll, please this one has already expired!
