i don't have any issues with the gui, itself. however, it would be really cool to be able to set the colors for each element in the GUI. the ability to create/save your own presets, rather just select from themes, would also be really nice. it would make setting up presets for certain environments very nice, and definitely would improve the chances of the user being happy with the aesthetics of the application.
and more color options in general, please!

This is an independent workaround, but I still want Ableton do offer some refinement.

this probably has been mentioned before.... I'd like to have the background of the clips colored, something like this:



at this point the orange bass_02 clip is selected and it appears in the edit window, also with with the background colored.

sorry for the sloppy editing

and vertical resizing of the clips in Session view.

^ I like it too... or at least an option in prefs for background track shading for those of us who agree. Seems simple enough.
