I would be willing to be a project lead.

I don't have to be a project lead, either. So if there is a need, I will do it and bring my leadership skills to the table, otherwise, I'm happy to allow someone else the opportunity.

Of course, I've never collaborated like this before, so I'm sure any team I would lead would have to cut me a little slack. *grin*
The question is not whether or not you are influenced, but rather what it is that influences you.

Some Great Ideas from members. Thought I would post them. They are in no particular order.

Im still getting a trickle of naysayer PM's that I could do without. Its not about bringing attention to myself. Let it go.

Positives

a little faith goes a long way- Sweet Jesus

The final result will be mixed down and mastered in a world class production studio. - Sweet jesus (good to be on his team :)

I would like to propose a theme for this festival - Mikemc

'm mega busy, but wld like to support this in some way. - Screen

It would be great if we could Actaully get Ableton to set up some sort of extension to there site that could really deal with this ace idea. -Emissary. (Unlikely, but would be great)

Listening, commenting, that stuff is that an option?. -Conny (yes commensts from non particpants will be welcomed)

I would be keen to hear from 16bit how the teams were formed in the other remixfests he has been involved in. - Sweet Jesus (the teams were formed by two people. In our case it should be Project leaders.

can also provide a “song concept” that together we bring to life. - Benshink

'd like to get involved, collaboration is the root of all great ideas! - Spingras

Maybe somebody could take charge of the whole thing and pick who's on what team (try and share around the different skills?) - Ct43 (thats how it will happen)

Yeah, I'm thinking this forum, anywhere, is not a really good place to organize all of this. _Basetwo. (agreed, but to get the ball rolling its a good place to start)

If results are happening I could organise the best to be released on a 12"- Chris Cowie

If there's a cross-genre team coming, I'm particularly interested - Machinate (There will be thats the interesting thing about this)

CAPE2 team industry track. It was a great experience - Filarion

thi shas never been down with everyone using the same software - Me

The software point is definitely true and it will make a lot of stuff easier..- filarion

I would like to join. - Credo (your in)

Excellent basetwo. No one is going to object to you being a project leader. If you also feel then need to participate musically dont hesitate. Just be careful you dont stretch yourself.

Sweetjesus may be your buddy on this but thats entirely up to him. PM him and discuss. Of course he can double as a player as well.

If I may suggest something, Count the number of different instrumentalists we have signed up

for eg
gtr players
vocalists
drummers

etc etc

Then have a think about which people you want to assign to teams, and how many there will be.

As for me, Im happy to do anything you wish and youll hear no complaints from me.

There may not be a need for another Project leader. We dont have the response they had over at psw. May not be a bad thing. Keeps it more manageable. If more sign up then another Project leader will be needed.

If we dont get any more producers signing up then I guess the only option is to ask one of the players to double up as a producer.

Hey Im not trying to tell you your job,

your the boss now :)

Must go now I have typed my arse off tonight

Oh yeah, almost forgot -

I have access to a semi-pro project studio for mastering and the like.
using stuff like O2r's and focusrite platinum mixmaster among other things.

I think my mastering skills are up to the job if their needed too.
can't do any harm anyway ;)

(16 BIT said about me) - so now I am willing to, no, please, well, yes... count me in.

OK, I have a hard drive full with samples from movies and more hard-to-catalogue stuff, so count me in as some special FX lone rider.

BASETWO and I have had a chat and the result will be a small forum software put online.

Each team will get their own password protected forum and we will also provide ftp space for transferring works in progress, elements, loops .. whatever you're working on.
