Ohhhhh, ok, so you want me to buy a sasha record?

whatever man, i told you i had to sit thru the thing already.

here's what i remember:

There was timed delay on almost everything for some reason.

the synth sounds sounded like presets.

lot's of washy new agey pads.

limp unoriginal beats. (at least they aren't all 4 on the floor tho. If i remember correctly "wavy gravy" has that break feel that some jungle has in it's slow sections.)

Now why the hell would i want to listen to that instead of, say, orbital?

not that i listen to orbital that much anymore, but much better sound design, writing, and energy. Ohhhh, and they were there first.

BTW, for me, this was about the fact that you called out the sasha "haters" on some BS about what music they write, when you haven't really done anything of your own yet. Now weather or not you LIKE my music, it's clear that i've been been doing it for a while. Click my google link, holmes. then google yourself. then tell me which of us has more experience.

Hello everyone...i would like to introduce myself..this is my first post on your board here and i am hope it will be one of many..i have enjoyed reading alot of peoples posts on here and think that there are some people on here who know what they are talking about and i look forward to communicating with them....i do however have one quick question for you all about this guy Leisuremuffin...he may be able to answer it himself..."is he for real?"...no seriously is he on one big wind up or does he actually think that he knows what he is going on about?I just had to ask..its probably me just being stupid as i really thought for a second that he was being serious.

Any information on this would be much appreciated..thanks everyone..happy posting.

i'm sorry, what don't you understand?

that i don't like Sasha's music?

that i don't appreciate memebers of this forum creating new accounts soley for the purpose of starting a bullshit thread that defends one artist by saying another is worse?

that i don't appreciate someone who has little experience producing electronic music calling out other people on their credibility?

look, holmes, i'm not usually serious about anything, read my other posts, but yeah, i am serious about the points mentioned above.

nice first post, BTW.

..hello leisuremuffin thanks for the reply...and forgive me for my mistake there..i am quite looking forward to discussing a few things with you if you dont mind...i mean at the end of the day we are intelligent people on here so i think we should be able to share a views in a non malicious way really..i mean after all thats what anglo american relations are all about isnt it?

I do however have a few questions about Sasha before i start discussing some of the points that you have made with you....

1)Have ever seen him DJ before in a club party ect i.e. when he used to use turntables, cdj's effects units ect.

2)If so how many times and from what years?

3)have you seen him recently use Ableton live and the Maven in a club?

Looking forward to your response.

1) no

2) no

3) no

I have heard many mix CD's by sasha. A record store i used to work at carried all the global underground stuff, and one of my co workers tortured me non stop with 'em.

I listened to about half of sasha's essential ableton mix on bbc radio before i had to stop.

I have heard the record "airdrawndagger" as stated above and for the same reason i heard his DJ mix cd's.

Now are you going to address my points from the last post, or are you just going to say that i can't possible say anything about sasha's music because i haven't listened to it enough? what about this BS of creating new forum accounts? huh? What about the stupidity of the first post in this thread? what about supsters calling out people on their credibility?

How many times did you listen to the back street boys before you decdiced you didn't like them? how many times did you see them in concert?

or am i making a wrong assumtion about you (like you assuming i'm anglo).
actually, i am white, but i don't like you assuming.

this morning while I was walking the dog I was listening to Terry Mullans CD Mixed Not Stirred - Terry's so sick

I got a Cd from Adam Jay a couple years ago at the WMC (Tronic Treatment) - it has a hand on it - I need to put that one on my Ipod as well

Right now though when I'm feeling blue I'll listen to Carl Cox live at Crobar - Carls so sick

I hope everyone on this thread is in their early teens and their balls haven't dropped yet.

I never read such a load af whiney neurotic shit in all my life.

What sort of idiotic fuckwits are you? Read the urine you have been posting.

Get a life and stop wasting your hysteria. Are you all suffering from tampon envy or just so desperately stuck for social interaction that you lower yourself to this sort of drivel.

YOU GIRLIE "MEN"

leisuremuffin is a whitey, but he says "holmes". a'ight dickwad.

Guys and Girls

I've finally had enough of this stupid poll bashing/thread bashing magnanimous bullshit....I feel the need to highlight something Robert Henke said yesterday. I think it's time this was taken onboard and adheared to.

dallas!

Robert Henke wrote:Folks,
all these Sasha & R. Hawtin threads are getting a bit annoying.
If someone unknown posts a track here, he usually gets a warm welcome,
and if there is only one nice sound in it, it gets mentioned.

So, what is the point in bashing people you have never spoken to, have never met personally ? It is not about the music, I am not talking about the way you guys discuss the music you dislike, it is about the way you talk about actual persons. You are not arguing if a sound in record X from Sasha or Richie is a bit cheasy, you are takling about the persons. Imagine if this discussion would be about YOU.

Sorry, this is not accepteable anymore. I would suggest you spend your time either with making music or with discussing threads which are really an issue.

Robert

hahahah .. muffin, sorry i cant take anything you say seriously anymore then.

you're trashing music thats in the same vien as what you yourself have written and presented here for comparison.

theres no objectivity in your responses, only bitterness and what sounds a lot like jealousy.

again i am left wondering "why" some people bring so much insecurity and hatred into art.

let me restate a few things, and then i will never post on this thread again:

1) making a new forum account to anonamously post complete horse shit is lame and cowardly.

2) calling people out in such a way that implies that they do not produce music, when you yourself have very little to show for yourself is also horseshit.

3) i dont "hate" Sasha. I just think his music is boring and pedestrian, and am really tired of hearing people cum all over him.

ok, that's it.
