Stoning in this case would be dubious under "proper" Islamic law.
people start chanting "Allah hu Akbar" (meaning, God is great)
"Allahu akbar" = God is bigger/biggest/greater/greatest. The 'u' at the end of Allah indicates nominative case - in proper Arabic the subject would agree with the predicate to form 'Allahu akbaru'.
Akbar is the elative of Kabir, meaning big or great. Arabic doesn't discern between comparative and superlative like Indo-European languages, it only has the elative.
The phrase is used in many different situations by Muslims and even non-Muslim Arabic speakers (you say "Allah" in every other sentence in Arabic, really), to express pleasure, approval, and even distress, as is the case with al-hamdu lillah ("all praise and glory is to God"), inshallah ("if God wishes"), mashallah ("the will/act of God"), wallah(i) ("by God", "I swear by God"), etc etc etc

PS: Fatwa does not mean death penalty. Danish media take note.

I think alot of the issue is the ease of addiction though - most of the laws in regard to all these things (except tobacco) is really alot to do with children trying them when they're stubborn rebellious teens who dont know any different.

Imagine if all those times we raided our parents liquor cabinet or asked a grown up to buy booze for us when we were 13 were trying smack instead??

Society would completely fall apart

lol

to be honest, i realli like my green stuff 8) but mate, you will find most australians pretty smart about this issue now that we had one guy executed last year, and a girl was caught (maybe) smuggling 20kg of weed into Bali and we also have 9 young people on death row who were all trying to smuggle heroin out together.
