I was working on a project and then suddenly, WTF ?!!, i cannot automate pan and vol in clip without messing the track automation ?? Then i remember seeing a post about this on this forum... This kind of stuff really makes me want to stay on L8. No kidding.

To be honest i don't think it's such a big deal. It's just two clicks.
But what freaks me out is that the PAN modulation has been removed, or am i dreaming again ?

This is track pan, not clip pan.

I don't get the difference. It certainly would make a difference if you could play multiple clips in a single track, but since you can't, in my understanding clip panning leads to track panning. Am I missing something?

So you could make a panning automation relative to the track panning.

it is a bit confusing now but i've gotten used to it, sort of...

envelopes > mixer > track panning
then you can right-click the waveform/midi notes area to switch between modulation and automation envs.
