No not fact and let's look at this properly and I'll explain why I called bullshit (not that you will actually read this in it's proper context which is why I keep having to repeat myself with the same thing, but, here I go again.)
First, let's define EXACTLY what an Atheist is. Atheist is the NON belief of anything supernatural such as fairytales, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny or God(s). Period.
Christians love to bring up the whole "Atheists killed more people/ look at Hitler" argument. Hitler was NOT an Atheist. Not only was he raised Catholic and professed to be Christian, he NEVER denied the existance of God and in fact was one of the MOST superstious people around (evident with his experiments in the occult, which, by the way, Atheists do not believe in!)
But for [your] arguments sake, let's pretend Hitler was an Atheist. He did not do what he did because of that, he did it because he was a Fascist! He did it for nationalism, he did it over race. It had NOTHING to do with Atheisism. The fact that he happened to be (in your estimation) an Atheist had nothing to do with it. Why? Well, he was also an artist and a vegitarian. Does that mean all Artists and vegitarians are evil murders? I think most Buddhists would strongly disagree with you. But that's exactly the sort of weak propaganda that publications like the Christian Science Monitor like to spread.

WHAT!?!? Where the fuck do they get that!? Oh yeah, from their Atheist Hitler straw man. But most Athiests like Dawkins and other scientests who are rational thinking people are actually doing everything they can to HELP the unfit, the handicap, etc. by constantly using science and research to find cures for disease (like Aids) while the fascist hate-mongering Christians do nothing more than ridicule and condemn people with claims that God gave Aids to the world to show that homsexuality is bad! Again the majority of wars through out history including current wars (with the exception of WW2 as that was truely a different and devasting war all around for all sides) are mostly fought in the name of religion, more importantly, your current reilgious leaders who condemn anyone that is not of their faith and who impose their beliefs and moral values on us by throwing out scientific fact in favor of blind faith are actually more dangerous than any war; they also happen to be hypocrits and again I cite from the past Jim Baker, Jimmy Swagart currently Ted Haggard, the child molesting Catholic Priests, and on and on and on. This is something that can NOT be denied, it is happening now and you are a complete blind fool. Period.
In conclusion, Atheists do not want to make people NOT believe in what they want to believe in, they want you to not impose your beliefs on others and then condemn then when they are not of your belief. More importantly, regardless of your spirituality, Atheists believe (and have hope) in Humanity that they are smart enough to use rational thought to help solve the worlds problems. If you were to reference my post about Any Rand's book "For The New Intellectual" you will see how rational thought and science has done more to progress this world more than any politician. And religion has done more to stunt the growth of the world and turn back the clock towards more dark and primitive times than ANYONE including Hitler. This, my friend, is a fact that is hard to swallow for mindless sheep called Christians.
Just to give a bit of insight to myself, I am a life long Atheist as was my father. To this day (and I am in my late 30s) I have never had a drop of alchohol, never had any drugs ever and have never once touched a cigarette. I have fairly high morals (again, much more than most of your religious leaders) always donating to charity and helping those that are in need whenever I can and I have done this without the superstition of religion.
