it's all my fault really. i am sorry i am so stoopid, and won't leave. maybe i should try to help someone, but i never know what i am talking about, so i am rather unhelpful. i'll try and keep my blathering to a minimum, i really will. i'll try and only talk about shit i know, which is shit, really.

Sorry TD. I don't yet know how to get pic's into the forum. But I can tell you that it is 26.5 C, not a cloud in the sky and I will swim in the ocean this afternoon again like I have done for the last 5 days. I love where I live.

Hey Homebelly, want to come for a beer? Lets ask Pitch Black as well!

.
Thanks :)
Well you didn't have to, but its nice to have it as a link. Perhaps that should become a standard (lnebulae, before posting pics of boys rubbin' each other again :P) to post those as a link with a little "NSFW" warning. Or perhaps if you really like to post something in a thread, NSFW :P

She did make me want to move to Asia now, though

Re: why all the hostility?

nebulae wrote:I'm not sure why the hostility in this forum has been amped up as of late, but it makes me a little sad. This is a community, and we built it with discussion and words. Words matter...they can make someone's day, and they can inflict pain. I'm not sure why, but in the past few weeks, the forum has become negative and mean spirited.
Just because I don't care whether or not I'm loved by people I don't know in person, I'll answer you honestly instead of ignoring this. You basically posted a thread accusing people at NAMM of not paying enough attention to you. You ask for, receive, and require a lot of attention from people on this forum. So it's not big fucking surprise that you might rub some people the wrong way, and get admirers. It comes with the territory of being an attention whore, not that that's a major crime, and nothing I'm posting here is said to generate hostility from you, but you seem actually to be convinced that somehow the forum has become more hostile when in fact it hasn't. You personally just generated more adoration and repulsion in the last few weeks than you normally do, that's all.

I know you're personally not a fan of b0unce for instance, but look at the response he gets, it's the same, some people are amused by his antics and others think of him as a nuisance. He tends to say things in a brutal and aggressive fashion, but pretty much never ignores people or intentionally strikes humor into a thread about Live software news and issues. So in that respect I find both of you equally amusing, and annoying at times. It comes along with a forceful personality and aggressive presence. Congratulations you have one!

So yes occasionally people are going to talk trash about you. It's better than people ignoring you is it not?

One last thing, no offense, but you and a few other here are under the impression that it's somehow possible to legislate your own version of morality on the forum, but my version of ethics and yours are different, (see above) so IMO this forum does fine unmoderated, by consensus or otherwise.

TL;DR No Neb it's you, you're generating more hostility and praise etc. lately, not the forum.

Some silly company, always located close to M audio(ex Ableton stand)nobody remembers what they sell, but everybody ( even such good boys like Machinate) remembers those table dancers, so somehow their strategy works . Will try to catch them on video for you.

that's so wrong. he was suprised they didn't pay more attention to ANYONE who wandered into the booth. he plainly stated that he walked up like some regular Joe and there wasn't the meet and greet atmosphere. he was excited to meet the booth folk and they were non-plussed to meet ANYONE. he planned for a while, scored a ticket, bought a plane ticket and paid for a hotel room, of course he was deflated. stop being such a hard ass on the guy. don't bother calling me a fan boy, I was the first to tell him he fucked up, for other reasons.

I can't believe people are still hung up on that. why don't YOU go to a trade show and post YOUR spontaneous thoughts onto the forum?? it was all pretty from the hip. hell, why don't YOU try to do anything to make this place funny, weird and provide a sense of community?
You ask for, receive, and require a lot of attention from people on this forum.
you don't get Neb at all. reading is a passive action, read what you want, troll block who you want, respond to who you want. neb does his best to make this place weird, he actively works to make this place what it is.

you soooo don't get nebulae. he's a cheerleader, he likes the vibe here and makes it a point to shout "hey, it's Friday, let's get stupid together!"

the forum has been more hostile, you should point that finger at myself and others, not neb. I really don't think you're paying attention.
I know you're personally not a fan of b0unce
who? non-sequitur, he chased some of us into completely ignoring him (and vice versa) and we're ALL better off (bounce included, I hope he's happier ignoring me, truly.) he does what he does in his way, neb does what he does, you do what you do, who cares? there's no comparing. b0unce is b0unce and that's another part of this weird freak show that draws people here, we self moderate, try to keep the bad vibes down and co-exist.

So yes occasionally people are going to talk trash about you. It's better than people ignoring you is it not?
again, you're not paying attention. there's been little to no shit flung at Neb lately, not since his NAMM thread you're still hung up on from two weeks ago!

One last thing, no offense, but you and a few other here are under the impression that it's somehow possible to legislate your own version of morality on the forum, but my version of ethics and yours are different, (see above) so IMO this forum does fine unmoderated, by consensus or otherwise.
and more bullshit. neb is not at all dictating ethics, he's just asking wtf is up with all the bad vibes lately. jesus christ, the whole self-moderation thing has been beat to death, who doesn't know that yet? if you don't like someone or something, troll block them and don't bump threads you don't like. you're STILL whining over people trying to dictate behavior, that's not going to happen, the rest of the forum gets it, catch up. this is the same flag you've been carrying forever, that's long since been over.
TL;DR No Neb it's you, you're generating more hostility and praise etc. lately, not the forum.
nope, neb's been pretty damn quiet lately.

you're not paying attention. nice try turning this back onto Neb, I'm handing it back to you. who's the one stirring up bad vibes? me and you, let's not. :D

ohhhh the draaaamaaaaa!!! I can't believe I give a shit...
