The Chilli Peppers put a stake through my heart. suck rock?

No rock bands except the police? Gnarls got nada?
But, better good talent than I can remember.

Bush can lick my balls

- Chili Peppers' early stuff is great, latest stuff is pretty boring (but I'm a fan) there's no reason for them to win, LAME!
- Dixie Chicks - blah
- Coldplay - record of the year,
- Sean Paul - Reggae Album of the year?!?!?! That's so wrong...
- Kylie Minogue representing the only electronic category, SO wrong...
- Metallica winning for St. Anger?!? WTF!!
- Worst Eagles tribute ever, stupid hicks didn't even know the lyrics!
- Grammies always have and always will be a sham.

No kidding Tone, I was looking for just a little less politics this year. WTF are the grammies for anyway?.....
Yeah I know, but I still like to bitch like I don't. If that isn't a window into why the biz is in the pooper I don't know what is.

Electronic/Dance Album: "Confessions on a Dance Floor," Madonna. <-- awesome album in my opinion!

what's wrong with the dixie chicks? I don't really like their music or listen to it but my girl says they're good...I trust her judgement in music...

I mean, we're not going to agree on who's the best or worst but it's cool someone with the actual power said, "Hey, we like what you're doing."

T.I. won rap solo - which I can feel

Rick Rubin won producer of the year - who can argue that

Pop Collaboration With Vocals: "For Once in My Life," Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder. <-- who's going to argue that?

umm and Mary J. Blige is the bizomb <-- you can't even say something about that...

you really have to look at the positive and dismiss the rest as it just aint you're bag baby ;)

I thought I saw that Madonna won. Madonna is a horrible singer and I highly doubt she made the beats or had much to do with the music. BLECH.

+1 on Rick Rubin, I didn't see him though.

Nothing wrong with the Dixie Chicks, I'll never listen to them but they're not annoying. Oh, and John Mayer, fun performer, great guitar player.

Yeah, I accept a lot of pop music isn't my bag but I am a HUGE music fan to begin with.

Well you got me there.

Mary J is amazing! yes. That Corin Rae beauty had a super sweet sound. I'm in love.

I just can't stand that hybrid pop country sound of the Dixie Chix. Super tight polished country productions creep me out. They got all the top honors, hmm.

I guess what I'm really bitching about is where is the rock? Where are the bands that rock? I think rock died a couple years ago. Chilli peppers performance and choice of song was dismal. I was ready for them to blow the roof.

dismiss the rest is right, ad. Cheers

and WolfMother, I dig those dudes. Weezer's still kicking it and I'm a huge dork for their music, HUGE. I forgot about Jet, gotta check them out again, thanks for the reminder.

what about 3121 (2006)?
way better than musicology (2004) but doesn't touch the rainbow children (2001).
i haven't heard NEWS (2003) yet, but it's like 4 long instrumentals so it will certainly be intersting.

but i guess the more the merrier. i'd like to see a new prince album as well but i wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen for another year or so.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeet, I didn't even watch the Grammy's - I played SplinterCell and made beats - needless to say I did better at SplinterCell then I did at my beats...

Stuart Price??? AKA: Jauques Le Cont, did all of madonnas confessions tracks, and i for one say well done, took her right out of the stone age.(and made her a lot of money)
