rewire / general sync
rewire / general sync
First i must say it is a coolest audio software in years i like it BIG TIME!
I"ve heard that there is rewire implemented in LIVE but i cant find any sign of it ,i am desperately trying to synchronize LIVE NUENDO OR
Logic but how .anybody work that out?
P.C.I have tried it it worked partly, with NUENDO set as Master.it starts Live but get it looping.if there is Rewire workout than its a winer .any help?

rewire
Right now Live is only supporting ReWire set as a Master, e.g. reason or rebirth would be the slave. Nuendo and Logic are both also supporting ReWire as a master. so, it is not possible to run Live in Cubase/ Logic. But i hope one of them will be supporting ReWire Slave Mode in the near furture!

midi clock out

I think that Live should also send Midi sync on the Midi outports. it would be great to sync my synth's arpeggiators to Live!

definitely! using live as a masterclock is on the top of my list. i have tried to slave it to external clocks. using different setups, masterclocks, midi-interfaces, but midisync has been flakey in all configs. sometimes live crashed during ext sync. has anyone been able to get solid sync?

Sync Stability
As a midi slave on a dell inspiron w/ midiman midisport and have had great results once the latency is tuned. It's like reaktor in that if the tempo jumps live will catch up so it's always on beat according to the overall system latency.
I run Cubase w/reason as master clock, reaktor on one laptop and live on the other. All multi computer midi users must know the pain I've felt when calibrating latency for say 3 computers in a master slave slave live setup. :( At least it's getting better with ASIO2.
Peace -metrognome
