BCR2000 visual feedback

Post by misteron » Tue Nov 11, 2008 6:05 am

Is it possible to get the BCR's button LEDs to give visual feeedback of EQ3's kill switches?

ie
I have 3 of BCR's buttons mapped to the kill switches of EQ3 and I would like the BCR's button LEDs to turn off when I turn off turn off the EQ3's kill switches by mouse.

Any ideas?

look at the button programming options on the bcr edit menus?

as I recall, it is probably possible to get the led's and button presses to coincide, but it is partly coincidental. i.e. there is a way to program the led's to go on/off with consecutive presses, but it is thrown off by interacting with the Live GUI directly

hope that makes sense (and that is not total BS)

and feeding that supposition: I think people go to great lengths e.g. Max patches, to get actual honest-to-god LEd feedback from a controller

Thanks Longjohns.
I think the co-incidental thing might be my best option for the EQ3's kill switches coz at least at a gig I won't be offsetting them with mouse.
I guess for the EQ3 kill switches I can stick with the 'co-incidental' method as I won't be using a mouse at gigs.

However, for clip loop, REAL feedback would be GREAT!

dunno if i got something wrong? but for visual feedback just activate the remote control midi out in the prferences and the buttons you've mapped on your bcr will react just like the buttons on the gui when you switch them on or off. works fine for me.

Actually yeah I was just coming here to write almost that.

When sending CCs from a button in toggle mode the LEDs do provide visual feedback of the kill switches, even if the kill switches are operated by the mouse.

Visual feedback doesn't work if the buttons send notes.
And so far doesn't work at all for clip loop.

I'm not sure why I had the impression I had already unsuccessfully tried simple toggling CCs but it does work.
