At the moment I use a Firewire 410 for recording vinyl from a DJ mixer at home, and also for live monitoring when DJing using Live on the road. I'm using a Macbook Pro with Leopard and XP.
I've got an Echo Indigo DJX on order to use as something high quality and compact on the road.
Can anyone suggest a suitable 2 channel sound for recording? Sound quality needs to be as good as the FW410, but latency isn't really an issue (although there is the possibility I may use it for taking the output from a mic'ed up instrument).
Would I be OK with the UCA202 or M Audio Fast Track?
PS... Anyone interested in buying a Firewire 410? I'm in the UK

if you only need two channels, the apogee DUET. is a very nice piece of gear, the whole integration of the apogee utility apps into OSX is a dream... and the latency is super low.
if i would be you i would not buy any more M-audio gear.

Hmm, possibly a bit out of my price range!
Just spotted the Tascam FireOne for less than £100. Am quite tempted...
