Render All Pro Tools Equivalent

Post by motioneso » Mon Nov 17, 2008 11:34 pm

Our CD was recorded and mixed in Pro Tools and I'd like to pull it into Live for some remixing and adding of electronic live accompaniments. Is there a way to "render all," as there is in Live, and keep all mixing and level information intact with the audio files other than bouncing each file separately to disk?

EDIT- Pro Tools and Live are NOT on the same machine

easiest way, i think, would be to save each track as a wav and import them to Live.

I was afraid that would be the easiest... unfortunately that would take about 15 hours to complete the whole record. I guess I could bring some movies to watch...

Since they're not on the same machine, perhaps you could get hold of a couple of audio interfaces with ADAT lightpipe digital i/o and print 8 tracks at a time from one machine to the other.

I'm amazed that Protools still doesn't have offline bouncing - Logic has had this for what, 10 years?

Best of luck!
