Oxygen-61 and LIVE (WARNING! Newbie!)

Post by Moshkito » Sat Dec 06, 2008 2:10 am

Hi,

Can anyone post a template of some sort to help get a few more of the knobs and faders in Oxygen assigned so one can actually have a little more fun with it?

I can get one "instrument" setup in LIVE 7 LE, but only 2 faders do anything and not really "getting it" or able to play with it a la synthesizer and such or at least get a couple more functions so I can tell that cheesy Electric Piano sound where to stuff it ...

And thanks in advance ... your assist is appreciated.

1) Go to preferences/MIDI. There, make sure the 'Input/Remote' of your controller is switched on.

2) In the actual Live window, open the MIDI-controllers-page (that MIDI button in the upper right corner). Now all controllable knobs in your plugins/synths/mixer etc. will turn blue. Click/select one that you want to control, and after, turn a knob on your controller - the assignment you just made will pop up in the MIDI controllers page for further adjustments..

3) Close the MIDI page again when you're done.

The other alternative would have been - read the manual.
It's worth it....

Hi,

I did read the manual ... but it appears to be written for someone who knows what they are doing ... and when you are introducing that to someone that is ... not new to computers but new to the conceptualization of all this coding in music and electronics ...

Your help is much appreciated ...
