new ongoing project/blog

hello, hello. i just wanted to share a new project with everyone that i think people round these parts might find interesting:

i'm going to attempt to write a song every week of 2009, each attempting to evoke a different feeling with each month's pieces centered around a theme. i'd like to both document my songwriting process as well as keep track of what hardware, software and plugins i'm using so i can look at how technology influences this process and the decisions i make. as Live is my main platform, i thought some folks on here might be interested in getting in on the discussion.

i'm encouraging people to get involved by making suggestions and sharing stories for me to use as inspiration as well as by coming back to listen to and critique each week's piece. i'd like to get a dialogue going on these issues rather than just spew out my own thoughts the whole time - that would make for a long year. please feel free to stop by and look over the details at:

just a bump - I posted my first piece of music on my new blog:

it was done in Live with Reason providing the bass and orchestral sounds, Erratic 2 the drums, and my trusty Les Paul the guitars. Let me know what you think.
