Sync Mainstage and Ableton???

Is there anyway to sync Mainstage with Ableton. I would like to set up patches with different tempos in Mainstage and start Ableton from Mainstage. Does anyone know if its possible. I have tried with midiO but it always crashes MS.

a petition.. we need a petition against ableton to be able to use midi.. i can't find a solution.. i've never seen a thread of someone able to sync live with whatever

i've been using mainstage as a source of instruments from live, thru the mac IAC internal midi port. works great, maybe you could work this way round? both progs see mo work at the same time fine

I've used IAC drivers for a long time to sync Live with Overture (notation software) so that Overture sends midi clock and Live plays in tempo.
