Is the future here.....?

With the APC40 and Maschine before my very eyes, i wonder if the future is integrated devices such as these. The flexibility of software paired with the simplicity and sexy-ness of hardware.

I looks very nice to me right now... Will it stick? Is it a fad?

it's gonna stick, the fact of the matter is people love the idea of this and yet they are gonna be forced to buy a new machine when you come out with a new software with a new dedicated controller. it doubles the cash potential of the plugin makers cause now they get to sell a plugin AND a machine to be it's companion. and it's far more appealing for them to make dedicated controllers cause now you'll need more than one as apposed to the previous mind set of "I wish I had the perfect controller" you now think "I wish I had the dedicated controller for all the stuff I use"

good point, i love it

i just hope it makes making music more and fun and easy. i don't mind paying for that, especially when it makes me money. I can see upgrading (or simply buying another) every two years or so.

it's a lotta bread though, that is true.
