I have noticed that on some projects automation is ignored when i render a master.
It seems that Ableton 7 jumps in to "session view" (turning on the red light) before it renders the master thus turning all automation off before it renders the audio file.
I've tried everything i can think of to make it work again but to no avail.
Has anyone had the same problem and is there anything i can do about it???
Very thankful for any tips!
7.0.14 Automation is not included when i render a master
im not sure if im understanding you quite right and therefore this might sound like a stupid answer but have you tried clicking the red light off ?
cheers

There are no stupid questions...
But yes.
The red light goes on after i have started rendering the track. I have no way of making it stay in "arrangement" mode.
For example:
1: i make a track with loads of automation.
2: the track plays really well in the arrangement view and i am ready to render the master. The red session light is turned off.
3: I render the track, listen to the final rendering and ableton has simply ignored all automation and gone into session mode without me being involved in the process.
I have read that some VST's can make this happen... But i don't understand why i can't force ableton to stay in arrangement mode.
It works when i play the track live!!!
The work-around i have is that i can record the track with the "Tape-It" plugin but that is very teadious since i can't bounce the track as fast as ableton's render.

sorry man - no idea
what version of live are you using - maybe install a later version
with vst's i tend to install one at time and wait a while before installing a new one - so that if a problem occurs and i think it is a vst then i have a good chance of tracing it to that ... i think

Hi bedhoe,
please check, if you´re facing a Midi feedback problem (for example when you´re using virtual Midi bus like the IAC driver or Midi yoke), this sometimes leads to the Back to Arrangement button lighting up. Another reason might be a connected controller sending out cc messages in silence - please try again to render with any Midi controllers disconnected.
Best,
Jörg
