On my Macbook (white C2D - "Ghz - 2 Gb Ram - Tiger) the upper apple menu doesn`t correspond to live. When the Live app is activated and running the menu bar shows "Finder".
It is not possible for me to load or save a project because of that.

click on Live's icon in the dock to bring it to the forefront again.
this isn't a Live problem, it's an OS X glitch. happens occasionally with all types of apps.

this didn't work. Finder would stay in teh menubar. I oppened another app and switched back to live and it worked. But probably you are right and this is an apple glitch - it just never happened to me.
