I'm sure I'll be laughed at for this, but I'm new to Ableton Live, bear with me!
I've recorded a simple bass drum beat. I've selected the the clip (I'm in Arrangement view). I thought if I then hit Command+L, it would loop that selection when I hit play? It plays the selection for me, but keeps going rater than looping that selection.... What am I doing wrong?

Hit the loop button mate in the clip view. Read the manual. It is thoroughly good reading!

Something is missing..
Do the loop braces match what should be looping, and is the loop indicator in the top bar lit up?

top of the screen, an arrow bent into circle (rectangle actually)
should be yellow to loop
should be gray to not to loop
