Weird ableton prob with MIDI causing loops to lose sync...

Hello all, I'm slaving live to my machine drum running into the input on my presonus firebox, and while the clock is staying in sync when i trigger a loop with my mpd16 running into the input on my turbo midi. the 4 bar audio loop will play 2 bars then repeat then go into the next two bars and repeat, despite no midi notes telling it to retrigger, this is getting frustrating and i don't know what to do.

it should be mentioned that if the loop is 2 bars it doesn't jump around at all.

but i'd really like to have longer loops.

global loop was set for 2 bars
i'm the biggest tard in the world.
