rewire question

Post by Guest » Wed Jul 21, 2004 11:50 pm

I just installed live beta11 and when I open it I get this message:

LIVE HAS DETECTED ANOTHER REWIRE MASTER APPLICATION : NO REWIRE SLAVE APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR USE WITH LIVE UNLESS YOU QUIT THE CURRENT REWIRE MASTER APPLICATION AND RESTART LIVE.

The thing is no programs are open and none were open when I installed it. I also get this message when live crashes and I restart it. The only thing that helps is rebooting the computer. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Hello,

It seems that another rewire application was still active in the background. After a reboot, the problem should be solved.

Best,

Well live does this everytime it crashes and I reopen it... I haven't even rewired it, or opened up another sequencer since Beta4 should I still be getting this?

Hi,

I got that same message when I used Live as host and FL Studio 4 as rewire slave, even after a reboot. First I could not beleive it, because there seemed to be no open rewire application on my pc.

But then I read more about rewire operation in FL Studio´s help files and I found out that FL has to be "registrated" before using in rewire. There is a button in the start menue and also another button "unregister rewire client" if you don´t want to use it as rewire client anymore.

Since I did this, everything was ok and the message didn´t appear.

Greetings from Wuppertal, Germany
