Device type is asio and I'm trying to reduce latency. Does it matter if the device listed in preferences is Digidesign DirectIO or Audiomedia 3? The Audiomedia 3 connection doesn't work and the directio runs the audio through the card with some godawful latency. I'm going to tinker with the sample buffer in protools, but i'm still not sure if I'm losing something by not being able to open up audiomedia 3 directly in the device.

Hi belab13,
normally it should work with the OS 9 drivers from digidesign. Do you have the problem just with Live or also with other Audio applications?
If you have still problems you can send me the logfile of Live (Live_log.txt in the ableton preferences folder).
