Recording Guitar while Ableton Live is in Rewire mode?

hello fellow Ableton lovers!

It seems like it's not possible to record audio while Ableton Live is in Rewire mode with Pro Tools (or any other DAW). Is there any other way to get around this?

Not that i've found either. It would be amazingly useful if you could, even if you had to use a 2nd soundcard.
