Ableton dropping notes on Midi record..
I have just bought the Korg nano pad and started to record with impulse. I noticed that when I play slowly that all notes are recorded into a midi clip however when I play faster that even though I can hear all the notes being played Ableton seems to skip the recording of some notes! It seems to be random so not connected to certain pads.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Sounds VERY similar to my problem... no delay / latency... just notes being skipped / held... once I saw the problem in real time in key view I knew it wasn't my interface:

BUDGET SETUP... and loving it
Live 9 64
16GB Ram
Resolume Arena
Alesis, Novation, and M-Audio Controllers / Synths
Tascam and M-Audio Firewire (I avoid USB !!)
M-Audio and Alesis Monitors

Are you using record quantization (Main Menu -> Edit -> Record Quantization)?milesbeverley wrote:I have just bought the Korg nano pad and started to record with impulse. hmm this is interesting, I hvae a very similar problem with my MPD32 which I have outlined here - http://beatwise.proboards80.com/index.c ... thread=200
I assumed with was something in XP causing the problem but I've just reinstalled windows and it hasn't helped.
Seems to happen at the start of each bar....the notes just get delayed by quite a lot.
Im using Live 7.14. Maybe totally unrelated but thought I'd comment on it here just in case
