I just bought a RS7000 to perform with, but I'm so spoiled by s/w sequencing that I'm seriously thinking about returning it and saving up for a laptop (the yamaha is good machine, but maybe not for me).
the ONLY thing that worries me is crashing. On my G4 400 desktop, I've come to expect occasional VST crashes but reason (when NOT rewired) has never crashed that I can remember. So I'm thinking of rewiring Reason into Live on a laptop.
Info about problems, solutions and successes with Reason rewired into Live would be much appreciated. Most of the musicians I admire are using laptops these days (wish I could see those screens!) , but I can't get over this anxiety about crashing.
Live/Reason...do you crash?
Reason Live Rewire
They work great except when in loop mode. Then Reason misses the last/first beat every time it loops round. There have been previous postings on this and I have emailed Ableton and Propellerheads but nobody bothers to reply. I can't believe that nobody else has encountered this.

please post details about OS, configuration, etc.
thanks for the reply. if people could also post some info about the make of their laptop, OS, etc. that would be great.
The missing beat thing I believe, is a Reason problem. It happens with Cubase and Reason also. I too have sent several emails but noone seems to pick up on it. I thought it would be resolved in ".0 but it still happens. Most frustrating.
Other than that I find Live and Reason to be very stable, even when pushed.
