Re: surroundsound
however you could probally throw something together if you had multiple outs.
but if we could have a dedicated surround sound track where you could put any noise in and set anywhere you want with the laptop touch pad.
then you would want the ability to record your set to dvd.
we have like 7.1. but isnt there a 24.4 in japan or something. ok maybe the touch pad wouldnt work that but a wiimote might.

Yes, Live is going to have to get 5.1/7.1 capability soon. One of our sound designers at my company was considering moving to Live but had to pass due to the lack of support for this.

Isn't there a workaround via a plugin or something?billvb wrote:Yes, Live is going to have to get 5.1/7.1 capability soon. One of our sound designers at my company was considering moving to Live but had to pass due to the lack of support for this.

Re: surroundsound
no. the best you can do right now is to use sends to route sound to multiple outputs. for true surround support we need some sort of per channel surround panner, reverb and delay with surround support, and of course surround file export. so far it sounds like all of this will be possible with max for live, but we'll see.rutgermuller wrote:Isn't there a workaround via a plugin or something?
