The singer from the Knife's solo album (recorded as Fever Ray) is amazing!

Dude. You like PKD and you don't like The Knife?

The Knife is seriously one of the best bands I have found in the last 2 years. Yes. They write songs.

I like it that everytime i hear the "heartbeats" cover in an ad or a tv show, that they are getting a little bit of coin. I loved both versions and went through several months listening to the gonzalez version and the knife version back to back.

Don't be ridiculous. Try again.

OK, they've done some iffy tracks, but the good ones are amazing. Silent Shout, We share our Mother's Health and Heartbeats especially.

the knife' music is magic trip in my mind - great stuff, but not

Reindeer, reindeer, reindeer
I caught one of your horns
And even if it rains here
It's much worse in the north

And you move like shadows
In the dark
And you glitter and you glimmer
And you bark

Hooves light as feathers
The sleigh this year is heavier
I thought we'd reached Warszawa
But we are stuck in Vasa

And Santa he is faster
This house must be the last now
And we follow mister Santa
To the end

Reindeer, reindeer, reindeer
You're a form made friend
Humble heavy loaded
And soon it's time again

------------------------------

The defense rests its case.

Give them another chance. Turn off the lights. Put on your headphones. Hell, get wasted if that's your preferred protocol. But listen.

its all good. "Deep Cuts" was my gateway drug.

Pass this on - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpTnREBxOIk - the story of a drag queen and a reluctant audience.

i think the brother and sister in "the knife" are dancing in the audience at some point.

Silent Shout - the deluxe, three-disc edition which includes the DVD of their live 'Audio Visual Experience', CD of the live show, & CD of the album 'Silent Shout'. Plus the DVD contains all their videos up to the date it was released.

Their live show 'An Audio Visual Experience' was one of the most inspired performances I have ever witnessed. Truly beautiful & satisfying on every level.

Brother Olaf Andersson is the person who begins dancing with the featured performer Rickard Engfors.

Sister Karin Dreijer Andersson is mainly seen at the end of the video sitting at a table.

Disturbing? I find it to be one of the most emotionally moving & beautiful videos I know of. It's as if Werner Herzog directed it. Obsessive & uplifting.

oh i heartily agree. I guess I meant more compelling than anything. I only found it disturbing as I first saw it on saturday morning television amongst all the urban booty videos and to see something that subtle was jarring. the implied confusion, anger and violence at the start that gets turned on its head by the end is so compelling. I still havent worked out if the angry young men know its a guy, and have accepted it, or if they think its a girl and believe they have a chance with her. That ambiguity is what makes it work for me.
