Rewind in ableton

Post by Sonus » Sat Mar 07, 2009 5:51 pm

Hi guys, i have been using ableton as a DJ platform now for about 8 months and one of the problems that im finding is that if im playing D&B with an MC who calls for a rewind.....err what to do, i thought about getting samples to cut to but i cant find any or have the time, plus i imagine that it wouldnt sound authentic, does anyone have a solution to the problem ?

Kind Regards,
William

Yes! How do I rewind?
How do I fast forward?
And how do I rewind or fast forward with incremental speed changes?

use the mouse, drag up and down on the meter readout at the top center of the screen.

There are tons of VST effects that can do this!
STutter Edit by Izotope, Turnado or Effectrix by sugarbytes. All, MIDI mappable.

Any kind of buffer over-ride effect.

Get some 1200's and your MC will love you :)

Nothing like a jungle set on some tables...just saying..

I'm sure some effects could be sourced though....look into beatlookup...its a reaktor ensemble and if I remember correctly it has some effects that would probably do the trick.

Nothing is going to sound like a rewind though unless its a rewind :)
