Graphics issue and problems closing Live

Hi all
this is my first post. I am new to using ableton. I have used Sonar for years. I have encountered a couple of problems with ableton which really make the process of producing dificult.
Firstly I have a graphics problem.
The pop up menus break up and disapear after a second or two.
Plugins (I use Kore controller and native instruments a lot) Break up and I have to close them then reopen them.
I have an up to date PC with a good video card Nvidea 8600gt and up to date drivers etc.

I also have problems exiting Live. I get an error message which tells me that I still have a rewire application running, I dont use any rewire stuff with Live. It takes a long time to exit the programme, I usually have to quit with task manager this still takes time and still doesnt close properly as I have to re boot to use other sound applications.
I use a fireface 800

Can anyone help, tech support dont seem to be able to.

Hi Jez,

do you have any Microsoft "Intellipoint" (mouse) or "Intellitype" (keyboard) drivers installed on your machine? If so, they are most likely causing your GUI problems. Uninstall them.

The problems on exiting Live are usually caused by an audio or MIDI driver which does not quit properly. Does the Rewire error message pop up when you restart Live or when you close Live? If the former is the case, that's because there's still a Live process running in the background (as it did not quit properly), so when you restart Live, it detects itself aa another Rewire master application.

However, you should try to update all audio and MIDI drivers. If that still won't help, please contact [email protected] with your log.txt file (check http://www.ableton.com/pages/support_contact for more details).

Hi I removed intellipoint stuff and the graphics bug is fixed.

I still have problems with closing Live. How do I remove all traces of Live from my system and reinstall from scratch?
