loud feedback loop reason1.01/live 1.5.2

Post by systek » Wed Jul 31, 2002 4:42 am

Dear Support Group and forum users

When moving the loop start/end points in reason and monitoring the signal in live it causes live to create some sort of feedback loop of the signal and it gets louder and louder finally creates a high pitch not good for the monitors. Usually I will go back into live click on the (loop) on/off switch or start/stop the sequencer and the sound goes away... any ideas? I also get the missing first beat/last beat problem that everyone seems to experience with reason. Can anyone test this with reason 2.0 and let me know if it is a reason problem?

system specs:
win2k + sp2
p4 1.8
1024gb ram
hammerfall dsp digiface

ableton live 1.5.2
reason 1.01

I use Live to record my reason loops/beats all the
time. More than often I find myself moving the start
and end points in the reason sequencer setting up the
next loop to sample into live. When I do this it
tweaks out the audio and live/reason starting making
this horrible noise that could blow my ears and gets
louder and louder... I then switch screens and go into
live to start/stop the sequencer and things turn back to
normal. It is really suprising when this happens
because it does not do it all the time. try it... if
you think the problem is on the Reason end let me know
if you think Reason 2.0 would solve the problem. I am
sure someone has done some tests. Please let me know.

Thanks,
systek
