Wow for live4!
I'm still discovering the new features but I really appreciate the ones that lets you do something 'complicated' in a single step.
With this in mind I think that it would be VERY USEFUL to render a midi clip by making a copy of it directly to an audio track instead of routing the audio from the midi track and recording.
someone agrees?
respect to abletons.

mmmm... I don´t know. I think I prefer the way you can do it right now. If you render a clip it won´t appear at the same time, the program will need a break for rendering and that could be a problem.

Yes, but that could be automatically disabled in a live situation...only allowing the render when stopped. Or there cold appear a confirmation dialog.... i don't know....but it would be a great utility.

I second that also. Any functionality that would help to render midi files playing virtual instruments in a fast efficient manner with out losing any signal quality is a must at somepoint.

yep. most definitely.
I might add that this could also be done with Audio tracks as well, with the addition of a: "render all clips to track button>drop box>Post or Pre FX opt>if postFX turn FX off"

Thinking more about it :: it would be best if there was a Render Track (or Bounce Track if you will) feature. Somehting I can use to bounce an entire Track without having to do it manually & without leaving Live.
