IMHO, this forum would be greatly improved if users were required to create accounts before posting, like most other web forums. It creates accountability when your name is attached to your words. This would also allow the moderators to block trolls much more easily. Does anyone agree with me?

Thanks,

jason

Why not simply make the forum available only for registered L.x owners?

And create a separate forum for Non-owners who would still have to sign up to post?

Perhpas this would filter the wheat from the chaff.

oh god, can you not just NOT READ stupid posts?

You should not be on the internet if you don't have the ability to ignore garbage. You'll do yourself an injury reading every single word of every page you click on.

He can have a specific 'forum' to post questions. He can talk and type like any ebonic ass if he chooses, and we can choose to help him or not as we see fit. Just because some lout is at the front door deosn't mean you should let him in. Some of us would like to clear out the trash a bit. If that shoe fits 'bro-peeps, respec' !

Perfect security is impossible, of course. However, if you take away the instant gratification, it does cut down on trolling. Community sentiment is the other defense, since trolling is a social problem more than a technical one.

make the tips tricks & general & bugs forum only for registered users (with forum account).

make an open forum, where all could post what they want. if it is going to be too crazy in there close it. it's like a marketing test ;)

a separate forum for posting flyers/live LIVE gig announcements would be nice too.

as always, just my minds ;)

I agree that there should be a "registered users only" forum like the Propellerheads have...

Disregard the trolls and they go away .. a lot of 'guests" have been contributing a lot of interesting info as well ... maybe some kind of basic moderating wouldn't be too bad ...
