Live 7 Legacy Pack

Post by prince skeltor » Fri Apr 03, 2009 10:36 am

If I have Live 7 suite previously installed on my machine and I just upgraded to Live 8 suite, will installing the "Live 7 Legacy Pack" harm anything, or cut down my actual instrument count (since I am assuming the Legacy Pack does not include ALL samples and presets from Live 7?) I did install it, and it had to replace the first file, so I just checked "replace all" in the installation popup.

Hi,

the Live 7 Legacy pack should not cut down on anything. It may include some of the same samples that were already installed with the Live 8 Library. The "Replace" prompt during the installation sounds more like a bug to me.

If you upgraded a Live 7 Library, you wouldn't really need the Live 7 Legacy Pack.

If you install a "clean" Live 8 Library and are missing samples from older Live 7 Sets, then I recommend to install the "Live 7 Legacy Pack" .

Best,
Daniel
