Another serious crash when i.....

Post by foogermooger » Sun Apr 05, 2009 9:40 pm

When i duplicate an audio track, and pich the duplicated track down 6 semitones....i get a serious error message and a crash....Booooooo !!!

This whole programme seems a little unstable...only my 2nd hour into it and ive discoverd how to crash it by doing 2 seperate things..the other i describes in my last topic on the bug&problems topic.

Also i think its very high on the cpu meter, way higher than v7..and its pretty sluggish as well to do simple tasks.

Im on a brand new purpose built audio pc quad core 4gb ram and complete factory install prior to loading live 8 suite.

I may go back to version 7 until 8 is a finnished and a fully stable product.

Regards..

Welcome to the Live 8.0.1 duplicate crash. I'm now at 118 crashes since Friday night. That's the most common for me - I have another thread on it. You are very right that this is unstable. Are you pitching down in complex pro warp mode by chance? Or beats / tones / texture?

Hello mate, Thanks for replying :)

Im just pitching down with the warp markers off ( if i recall, im at work at the moment, but im sure i took the warp off and cut the sample up manually)..its happened every time ive tried it.

I dont think ive set anything out of the ordinary..was just a vocal sample i recorded in as audio, then duplicated it and went to pitch the duplicated track down a few semitones..

I will check back your thread and read up on it.

Thanks :)
