No they are both equally unreliable sources of information. I use to fact check things I was interested that they stated and found more often than not, they both twist the shit out of the facts. Most times taking quotes way out of context for sensationalism.

I can't really agree or disagree, because though I've watched O'Reilly, and personally I think he's a nipple, I haven't read much from The Huffington Post. I find that in this golden age of information, it's increasingly becoming difficult to get accurate and factual information. That being said, on the issue of nuclear dumping, it's pretty clear cut. Either they is or they isn't; no way to spin it really.

I am calloused to most stuff I hear in news. I dont believe anything until I source it from credible sources and more often than not the further you go the more sense that its all twisted to serve some ones purpose. I use to be involved in various local activist activities and seen things go down in person only to watch it on the local news and see that what they reported as truth couldnt be further from it.

Fascinating article, not the first time I have read about the illegal overfishing off the Somali Coast, first time I have heard of the dumping but its quite believable.

The thing is, with so many problems like this, there is injustice on all sides- and treating the problems fundamentally involves bringing economic and environmental justice to the region. As long as we approach the difficulties with the idea that we win and lose separately from one another, in the long run we all lose. Well, I'm not holding my breath for general enlightenment anytime soon- but I do believe that the moral burden is on the citizens of the rich countries, who have at least opportunities to make change in their personal lives, seek information and make informed decisions, etc.

But yeah, posting an article without an opinion is kind of weak.

what´s wrong with that article? i don´t know the journalist who wrote the article, and i don´t know about his credibility. who cares anyway? are you surprized that the 1st world is responsible for the shit going on in the 3rd world? or are you only an ignorant western world arsehole not ever thinking about that sometimes/very often YOUR purchase in a supermarket could have fatal consequences elsewhere in the world?
