Automatic default button value

Post by Sfffen » Wed Apr 22, 2009 6:14 pm

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there's a possibility that when you trigger a knob on a midi device to a knob (for example the 'transpose' knob) in Ableton, that the transpose value automatically switches back to it's default value (0) after you stop turning/pressing the knob...

I like to throw in cool transpose-breaks in my playing samples, but it's a pain in the ass to always have to manually switch the value back to 0... Maybe there's another solution? I'm eager to find out!

Thanks,

Sven

well. you could use some kind of translator that takes a midi button and sends out a delete keyboard output when pushed, as delete returns it to its default value. tweak, hit the button, done. ;)
