"stop clips" via restarts counter

I noticed that when I assign the stop all clips (on the master column) to a midi key, the counter restarts from the beginning.

I wish it would just stop clips, and/or stop the counter, and just behave the same as if it were selected with the mouse or keyboard key.

do you mean the songpositioncounter ? I could not reproduce this here.
