Assigning so I can see the waveform

Post by Yeeeehaaaa7 » Sat Apr 25, 2009 10:28 pm

Is there anyway to assign to a midi button so when I select an audio track it shows the waveform and not the effects in that channel? The only way I can do it just now is by using my mouse. Every key assignment or midi map goes straight to the effect view.

Anyone able to help?

Selecting a track will always go to the effect view. Suppose you track had several different clips with different waveforms..... how would Live prioritise?

You have to select the clip to see the waveform. One set of hotkeys that might help you are shift+tab, this alternates between the clip and track effects / instruments view.
