Assigning the keyboard

Post by shortwave » Wed Aug 04, 2004 5:39 pm

Hi,

I don't seem to be able to assign the keys 1234567890 to trigger clips.
Or the slightly weird keys (;'#,./[] etc.).
Also, the F keys are hard wired to channel mutes.

Why the restrictions?
Its so quick and easy to assign keys and people use this software in such different ways AND there are never enough keys on the keyboard anyway...

I would love to see keyboard assigning become much more flexible, by dropping these arbitrary restrictions.

Anybody else feeling this?!

yes, I posted this complaint somewhere, too. I don't understand this restriction, shouldn't be so difficult to change this for ableton i hope. :?

Yup, I'm feeling it. I recently ditched Logic for Live4, so I'm used to being able to assign *everything* to *everything*
