MP3 Audio distortion
Hi there
I have recently upgraded to live 8 and am experiencing some issues with MP3s after they have been warped. Around 1 or 2 in ten of my tracks distorts when being played back after being very lighty warped. The distortion is usually when the track is at its most complex. The tracks sound fine prior to being warped to. It doesnt happen on every track just at random it would seem.
Anyone have any ideas ?
I am also experiencing very slow load and save times and sometimes when I load an effect even though it works there is no input shown on the device (ie the led scale)

Hi rhythmdivision,
do you use a Mac or a PC? If you are using a PC, is Quicktime installed on your computer? Furthermore, which warp mode did you use when the problem occurred?
Best,
Jörg

Re: MP3 Audio distortion
Hi again,
we recommend to install Quicktime, as this will provide better MP3 decoding results than Windows Direct Show, which is used for decoding if QT is not installed.
Furthermore, please try different warp modes (ie. Beats, Complex, Complex Pro, Tones, Textures), do you still get distortion?
Best,
Jörg
