Can I not record multiple lines of automation in real time?

Post by Demorgan » Sat May 09, 2009 2:30 am

Lets say i have a rack that i made and i set up the 8 macro knobs to control 8 different parameters.
I record first twidiling macro 1, now when i put it in overdub and try to record automation using macro 2 it erases macro 1's automation line?

Am i missing something or is this not possible?

Thanks.

No I know what you mean cause I used to make this mistake all the time. The trick to remember is that when recording automation like that, if you have the track record armed it will overwrite whatever was there before. However, if no tracks are armed but you still have the master arrangement armed, you can record all the automation you want with as many parameters as you want.
