Hi,
Could you give me a help for the problems below
Objective:
Want to make exported MIDI as Drums( and other instruments) in order to be able to choose MIDI by ear Clip regardless of PC/Mac/software like Quick Time.
Problem: The MIDI Sounds Piano when I play back, or some other instrument if I change Program Number.
I referred MIDI program number diagram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI)
And changed MIDI channel to 10 but it doesn't work out.
Thanks

Re: Making Exported MIDI clip sounds right
Sounds like you are not using MIDI channel 10. The program number has nothing to do with MIDI channel. You must consult your instrument/software docs to ensure you have proper settings.

thank for suggestion.
As I said before, I changed midi Channe1 to 10.
That would be alright if I hook other Instrument or something to Ableton just by making channel 10.
But if I export as MIDI file and play back with quick time player, Program number setting does seem to me Matter which change tone of the MIDI.
I've been using Ableton since 5 for 3 years.
I know most of the things but never needed to export MIDI as GM format or something to be heard the tone not on the Sequencers, so I got this problem.
Usually it doesn't matter what kind of MIDI data in it as far as others can see notes and velocity and other parameters.
Anybody has any idea?
