So I'm new to Ableton Live; Just converted a week ago. I have Stylus RMX and want to have the plugin work over several tracks. In other words, several tracks use one single instance of RMX. Each Ableton track will trigger the corresponding track in RMX. I knew how to do this in Logic but haven't figured it out in Ableton.
Any ideas?

Re: Duplicate Stylus RMX Plugins
Use the external instrument plugin on each extra track, set its midi to StylusRMX and the correct channel, then set its audio from the corresponding StylusRMX channel. Group the tracks if you want to keep things tidy.
Re: Duplicate Stylus RMX Plugins
Thanks for your comment. I kind of get what you're saying, but I'm missing a step in terms of applying RMX to each independent track. I drag the plugin over to the first track, then I do the same for a second track. But they alway seem to be independent plugins. I've played around with the I/O stuff... If you don't mind, can you be a little more explicit in your instructions for this point. I think once I get that the rest will be easy. Just having a hard time wrapping my head around this new interface and its inner workings!
Much appreciated!

If I'm not mistaken the video "Setting up your host - RMX and Ableton Live" on the tutorial DVD of RMX will show you precisely how you should configure RMX and Live to make them work the way you want.davidjez wrote:several tracks use one single instance of RMX

Thanks! It wasn't on the stylus DVD but I did manage to locate it on the Spectrasonics website. Thanks for the heads up.
