m-audio transit usb more bass?
Hey everyone!
I have a new m-audio transit usb soundcard, its working very well, but I need more bass...
I have one audigy 2 zs pcmcia card also, and it have better bass, but the audigy's software support is not too good, and sometimes make trouble.
So,can I make more bass?
Does it have basis software, driver or something?
Thanx for any help!

Re: m-audio transit usb more bass?
you're not going to get better or worse bass by changing sound cards. IF you can hear a difference then one will overall sound like crap.
what are your monitors?
you want more bass? drop in an EQ3 or EQ8.

OP - are you serious ?
Bass is determined by the sounds you used and the EQ and processing you applied. And in a mix, it's determined by how it sits with the other audio and MIDI tracks, and particularly if you didn't apply any kind of EQing processing of the low end frequencies on other tracks.
It's true that some real high end soundcards (RME, APogee, Lynx AES, Metric Halo etc) with great converters and pres might deliver a 'slightly' more rounded and less muddy bass response *for recorded bass instruments such as electric bass guitar* but if you can tell a difference between an M-Audio card and a Creative Audigy, both in the budget end and with virtually no difference in the components being used, then I'm freakin' Barack Obama !
Knowledge is power - get reading some good books and more importantly, practising and putting the hours in to develop your mixing skills.
Bobby Owsinski's 'The Mixing Engineer's Handbook (2nd edition)' is a good place to start, which isn't over jargony but is very useful.

I using sennheiser hd 200 headphones, but it's not important thing.
When I listening the same track with 2 soundcards,I don't using any EQ with audigy or m-audio,its the default options but the bass is much better in audigy 2 zs.
My question is, does m-audio have any EQ settings?...
But I think it doesn't have support like this.

the bass is probably better on the Creative card as it will have some sort of 'bass enhancer' rubbish turned on in the control panel. If youre trying to mix, you need as flat a starting point as possible.
Ditch the soundblaster, great for games, more trouble than theyre worth for music making.

Re: m-audio transit usb more bass?
If all you need is simple playback or are creating tunes totally from Live's devices or vst/au plugins, then it is an excellent card. I owned one for 3 years before I broke it in a klutzish moment and was able to get great performance and low latency from it for playback or recording of internal sounds. Even when I got my multichannel firewire interface, I would use the Echo Indigo for mixdown because it's latency performance was better (naturally as PCMCIA and PCI / PCI E/ PCIX or whatever will offer better performance than firewire or USB).
However, there are no preamps, and only one recording input, so for multichannel work or for recording microphones, or instruments it is no good unless you have a preamp or mixer front end.
Once again though, the problems you're having are associated with mixing skills, not the type of audio card you're choosing ....
